About Us
Our background
We are a husband and wife team raising two precious girls. We dreamt of one day owning our own business but also wanted it to be something we could do together. We stumbled upon candle making which brings together Britt's love for design and my desire to create things. This business is truly a family affair, made 100% by hand in our kitchen. Our workspace is the same countertop and stove where our kids eat and where we cook. I am sure you will enjoy the look of our candles as much as the smell. How We got started
Tom loves learning new skills around the house and enjoys finding new crafts to share with our girls. One morning he mentioned candle making to me as something that could be a fun hobby. I immediately loved the idea, and he began ordering supplies. My mind was racing with ideas for colors and scents, tags, labels, logos, and jars. There was so much room for me to be creative. I managed to get Tom to sit still and listen to some of my ideas long enough, and he thought it sounded like an actual business. So here we are: a micro business jumping into the craft candle market head first!
Our style
Move over Joanna, Martha Stewart has a spot reserved for you at the bingo hall. The new home designers are here!! Just Kidding. We love you, Chip and Jo. Our "style" would be considered modern farmhouse. This is a mix of clean lines and subtle colors with rustic charm mixed in. This allows for a broad appreciation of simple, classic, and eclectic tastes, along with some fun accents. Candles are the perfect opportunity to contrast or compliment any room's color palate. We make our candles in colors that somewhat represent their smell. They can either blend into your décor or stand out in your space!
